Dr Nazia Gillani, founder of MovementGuard, brings almost a decade of research and development experience in intelligent systems for movement abnormalities, including Parkinson’s disease, amputations, falls, and frailty.
She has co-designed these intelligent systems with older adults, GPs, geriatricians, occupational therapists, and carers — ensuring each solution is ethical, practical, and user-led.
Nazia’s research has been endorsed by clinicians and users for its real-world usefulness, and she was awarded the Intel InnovateFPGA Global Design Contest Bronze Award for outstanding innovation.
